Product Line Manager

Company Information:

SkyeTek is a private, venture-backed RFID technology company that is enabling the pervasive adoption of RFID beyond supply chain into embedded applications such as anti-counterfeiting, contactless payment, consumables authentication, item-level inventory, patient safety, and patron management.  Customers OEM or license SkyeTek’s technology and embed it as a feature in their products to create new applications.  For example, one customer uses SkyeTek technology to transform their wireless phone into a patient safety device that ensures patient blood type matching prior to the start of a blood transfusion.  Many other SkyeTek customers are enjoying the new market opportunities and enhanced customer satisfaction resulting from the use of SkyeTek’s reader technology in their products.

SkyeTek’s Advanced Universal Reader Architecture (AURA) was designed from the ground up to meet the unique requirements of the embedded RFID market.  Customers adopting AURA gain a single architecture for reader hardware and software that makes the task of designing, building, and maintaining an RFID application simple, manageable, and cost efficient over the lifetime of the application.  AURA is comprised of ReaderWare (software layer) and ReaderDNA (hardware layer).  

ReaderWare decouples reader software from hardware providing a platform-independent, Tagnostic™ interface that is common among SkyeTek reader modules and allowing code re-use as the underlying protocols, cryptography, and components evolve.  ReaderWare also brings digital-age cryptography to RFID allowing any generic tag with extended memory to achieve levels of security common in the DoD and Financial Services sectors.  ReaderDNA provides hardware designs that share common tag interoperability, protocol support, processor, form factor, and power supply across RFID reader modules enabling faster development cycles and greater scale economies.

The Product Line Manager will report to the VP of Marketing and own responsibility for product management and product marketing across SkyeTek’s portfolio of software and hardware.

• Speaking engagements at trade shows / with analysts
• Technology partnership due diligence

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of product management / product marketing in a technology-based company is required.
• MBA desired.
• Knowledge of RFID technology is desirable but not required.
• Experience in the following areas:
  • Leading cross-functional teams
  • Interfacing with / synthesizing feedback from sales
  • Interfacing with / synthesizing information from engineering
  • Educating customers / channels on new applications / technologies
  • Project management
