Sun Microsystems Links SkyeTek to Auto-ID Center Savant™ Software
August 11, 2003 Boulder, Colorado, USA - SkyeTek LLC announces that Sun Microsystems has produced a Reader Adapter to connect SkyeTek RFID readers to the Auto-ID Center's Savant Software. The Savant makes real-world RFID information accessible by the larger data infrastructures of the world.
Sun gave SkyeTek the basic Reader Adapter which SkyeTek has now more fully developed and fortified. The SkyeTek Reader Adapter now supports the complete set of functions and features available from SkyeTek's powerful RFID readers. SkyeTek also derived a Java Library from Sun's work so that software developers can quickly and easily add RFID to new and existing systems.
