LAS VEGAS, April 14, 2008 – SkyeTek, Inc., the leading provider of embedded RFID reader technology, has been named a finalist for the second annual RFID Journal Awards for the Best in Show category. The SkyeModule M7 was selected along with nine other new products as a finalist for the new Best in Show award. The award will be presented to the RFID technology providers exhibiting the best new product at RFID Journal LIVE! 2008, being held April 16 – 18 in Las Vegas.

The M7, which is smaller than a matchbook, offers enhanced reliability through improved anti-collision and dense reader mode capabilities that can further support more EPC Class 1 Gen2 tags than any other comparable reader, allowing customers to fully optimize their application. The M7 operates over a wide range of frequencies (862-955 MHz) for global operation and includes an integrated low-pass filter to meet China and Japan regulatory requirements.

At RFID Journal LIVE! SkyeTek will be exhibiting at booth 518 where they will showcase their entire suite of embedded RFID reader modules, including the M7. SkyeTek will also have demonstrations available for several innovative applications of RFID that they are involved in, including RFID-enabled smart shelves for monitoring and tracking inventory in real-time.
