Precision Dynamics Showcases Multi-Function RFID and Barcode Reader at Smart Healthcare Conference

San Fernando, CA May 14, 2004 -- Precision Dynamics Corporation (PDC), a global leader in automatic wristband identification, and SkyeTek, developer and manufacturer of radio frequency identification (RFID) read/write modules, announce a joint partnership to develop and sell new RFID products for healthcare point-of-care to be released later this year. The partnership also allows PDC and SkyeTek to market and sell current products, including SkyeTek's SkyeRead RFID reader technology and PDC Smart Band® RFID Wristband solutions.

“SkyeTek’s RFID products are valuable additions to PDC’s wristband identification solutions,” said Robin Barber, PDC Vice President of Advanced Marketing and Technology. “The new products will offer our customers a more comprehensive RFID turn-key solution. We selected SkyeTek’s technology because of its small form-factor, low power consumption, and firmware adaptability.”“Our RFID reader technology is a natural add on to PDC’s existing solutions,” said Jonathan Bein, Ph.D., SkyeTek CEO and President. “With 70% of the healthcare wristband identification market, PDC is uniquely positioned to provide a total RFID solution.”Information and details regarding new products will be released this summer.
