Westminster, Colorado, July 22, 2008 – SkyeTek, Inc., the leading provider of embedded RFID reader technology, announced today that its M9 SkyeModule will support a full command set of EM4122 and EM4444 UHF ICs from EM Microelectronics (EM). In cooperation with EM, SkyeTek has completed deep reader/tag integration to support the full lines of commands of the EM ICs. Support of these tags allows SkyeTek to offer one of the highest performing and low cost tag and reader solutions in the market.

EM Microelectronic, the semiconductor company of the Swatch Group, is a worldleading manufacturer of ultra low-power, low-voltage integrated circuits (ICs) and has been ranked number two of global vendors of RFID transponder ICs last December by market research group ABI.

EM Microelectronics also offers its EM UHF RFID Developer Kit which features SkyeTek’s M9 reader module and EM’s UHF tag assortment based on the 4x22, 4x44 and the upcoming EM4324, EM's first EPC C1 Gen2 compliant transponder chip.
