MetaFi Console

 
MetaFi RFID Console for networked RFID
  The MetaFi Console, utilizing both the MetaFi Server and the MetaFi Agent, was designed specifically to provide Operations, Manufacturing and Product Managers with snap-shot and detailed information of what’s happening with individual inventory items on shelves in hospital stock-rooms, retail stores, and sales kiosks across dispersed geographic regions.

 

The graphical web interface provides role-based access to several modules and screens that enable users to configure, provision and monitor inventory items and RFID components across any number of point of sale or point of use locations.

The Console is comprised of three main modules, Configure, Provision and Monitor.

Configure

Configure includes powerful and extensible capabilities for managers and administrators including:

Policy management. The Configure Policy feature enables managers and administrators to view, add, delete and update business, reader and agent policies on the system using a list of defined event and action types presented as templates through an easy to use graphical interface. Using this same feature, an administrator might create custom policies by selecting a combination of events and actions plus various conditions configured as parameters in the UI.

For instance, a manager can quickly set up a policy to send email alerts to an Operations Manager when the inventory level of a specific product type at a given location falls below a specific threshold; a manager might set up a policy to display a Warning Event in the Dashboard when a particular employee removes a specific product type from inventory; an administrator might set up a policy to send an email when a reader at a field location goes down.

Item, product and people management. The Configure Entity feature enables managers and administrators to view, add, upload from an internal system, and delete attributes associated with Items/Products/People associated with the system. This includes the ability to upload product information from ecommerce catalogs, item information from inventory management systems and/or user information from LDAP directories.

Provision

Provision includes the flexibility and reach for users and managers to commission RFID tags one a time or, in batch mode at either a central manufacturing facility or, at a remote site like a hospital supply room or a retail store. Through the graphical user interface, users can read RFID tags first and then assign tags to an Item/Product/People type or, a range of numbers can be set to allow the user to produce a batch of items to be tagged at a manufacturing plant. When used with the MetaFi Agent, the Provision module allows for data to be written to RFID tags.

Monitor

Monitor includes a centralized view of both an overall system status from the Start Page as well as a Dashboard view of Inventory Levels, Inventory Events and Warning Alerts for a single or multiple locations in a hierarchical view.
